telewest will pricematch

Was switching back to BT from cable as per Martin. Contacted today by telewest who offered to pricematch. After reviewing past bills have been given talk & mobile package at fraction of normal price with a promise to price match again in 6 months. Had to quote alternative to match against though which I was able to do thanks to help from this forum. That's on top of excellent discounts on TV already agreed after following last posting. Have to say am very impressed with both customer service and equipment, glad to be able to stay. Funny though ...girl asked me if I had been on MSE.com! :money:

T'west wouldn't pricematch the 3p per call (not per minute) for geographicals calls from Call18866 (I know it's 4p now but when it was 3p) when we threatened to leave them so we left and now use BT where we currently have more choice. I use the word currently because now that TalkTalk are buying OneTel/JDS and Tele2, our choice is dropping.

Toucan has some good deals, we can rely on them to compete with TalkTalk, surely?

I'm surprised the Competition Commission didn't step in with the TalkTalk takeover. Doesn't it surprise you that there's only one competition commission?
