I am having problems trying to import my emails into Microsoft Outlook, the problem has occured today and has been working in the past.

I can access the internet so I dont think it is a server or connection problem but am not 100% sure but could someone help me out.

This is the message I get when I try and import my emails
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop.supanet.com', Server: 'pop.supanet.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

    Look at the error message.

Each account WILL be different, I'm guessing.

So account ought not to be pop.supanet.com. Only the Server should be that.

Change your account username to what ever it SHOULD BE, and ensure your password is then correct. Then try to get your emails!!

They are the actual settings that supanet give to you so that you can transfer the emails into Outlook and everything has been working fine until I got home from work to try and retrieve my emails. Cannot think of the problem but my head is cabbaged trying to think of what it could be

The account name can be anything and usually picks up the pop server name. Mine is pop.tiscali.co.uk just because i haven't bothered to change it.

It just sounds like there's a problem with their mail server and will probably be ok in a while. Might be worth looking on the supanet website to see if there's an server status where it tells you any problems they're having. Also try and access your account via webmail on the supanet site.

Status seems to be ok on the Supanet site for all there services i.e. webmail, broadband, hosting etc.....
I can access my emails through the supanet site but it is an aweful email system the reason being for using Outlook as it's a lot better

Hopefully it is a mail server problem as you say so will have to wait and see if it comes back on

    Thanks for the info
