Cahoot & Crossed Postal Orders

Hi,
Has anyone who has a current account with Cahoot managed to pay in a crossed postal order?
I've asked Cahoot Customer Services and they said they don't accept postal orders but I've seen older posts suggesting that you can pay them in through the Post Office and Abbey told me I should be able to pay it in the same as a cheque.

It wouldn't have been the first time I've been given the wrong information by Cahoot Customer Services so I thought I'd just check on here to see if anyone could confirm/deny their response!

I do think the word "lie" is strong. Have you considered that they thought they were giving you the right information but just got it wrong?

I don't know the answer to your question - and I appreciate getting incorrect information is frustrating - but to use the word "lie" implies deliberately mislead.
