Thanks for the reply mum of 4. The council say that they hope to provide running water but we don't know when that will happen.

I did think that some of the rules were a tad draconian. As for aesthetics - it's an allotment for heaven's sake!!

Great suggestion re the policies on other local sites. Will check that out.
