AG Neovo F419 19" TFT review

My old P1500 21" CRT was dying so i needed a new monitor, so i got a:
AG Neovo F419 19" TFT 12ms 500:1 (1280x1024) (Analogue/DVI) Monitor - Black (3 Years Warranty)

It has a good looking screen with slim black bezel which goes well with my black setup. Picture quality is excellent, no dead pixels (AG Neovo's policy is NOT zero dead pixels for a replacement) with both analogue and DVI cables included. Stand tilts are detachable to allow wall mounting. My only gripe is that the stand is a bit flimsy and doesn't allow you to tilt left/right but that's not a problem tbh.
Took me seconds to hook up the DVI and get the recent drivers.

I do many hours on a monitor every day (wink wink) including quite a bit of work, so colour reproduction and clarity is very important to me, but I eventually decided that LCDs have progressed enough to be worthy of consideration. Well, I really did consider for over 6 months and saw many, many monitors in that time!
I dithered and dithered, but having read a reviews of this monitor (including a great one in PC Pro) I had been keeping my eye on the white version of the F419 for a while but then suddenly this black model dropped in price, so I decided to finally bite the bullet! It is christmas :P

The set up via the buttons on the bottom right of the bezel is fiddly, but how often do you do it? Unless you are into graphics, pressing the auto button will do the job - simple.

I think you will find at £186.98 PLUS delivery of around £15 - you can get any number of decent brand name 19" TFT monitors from companies who actually answer emails AND phone calls - e.g. Argos have a 19" tft (Acer model) at £150 at the moment - although admitedly this is out of stock in 99% of the UK - however you can get a similar Acer 19" for under £200 from Comet and Amazon - both companies I would rather deal with

Also as both Comet and Argos have a return for any reason guarantee then you can return this product if it has ANY dead pixels if you want - I am not sure on Amazons return policy on this though

Well I've no idea if they answer the phone, but when I had a problem with my F419 they answered several emails promptly, and the warranty is handled by a 3rd party company who delivered a replacement the next day.

Unfortunatly mine developed a faulty backlight (replacement had same fault too) probably just a bad batch. So It went back for a refund.

One thing I would say against it is that even the new 12ms model showed quite a lot of ghosting while playing fast moving games, and the "stand" is way too flexible.

It had a really high left/right viewing angle.
