Bank charge reclaim companies

Hi moneysavers, I have been cold-called by a company called claim4gain who want to charge me £50.00 (if I apply online) or £40.00 (by phone) for claiming back all my bank and credit card charges for the last 6 years.The charge of £50.00 is for providing a legally binding letter to the bank and an advice pack they will send to me. They have their own in-house legal team apparently. I am always suspicious when a company cold calls me saying they can give me money back (even when its my own). Has anyone else used this company or heard from them and are they genuine?

Plenty of information about such companies on this website. Generalyl the advice is to avoid them.

No such thing as a "legally binding letter" either.

I was offered a job with a company (not these that you mention, butthey do the same thing!)

It does not sound right to be fair so I gave it a miss as they are prepared to tell you anything for their own commision!!! Be wary indeed, especially as you can do it yourself for free!

Hi, thanks for your advice, I think I will avoid this company and any others that call. I am finding this website quite confusing to use - too much stuff on every page! I've tried looking but I cant find the info on money reclaim companies mentioned - anyone know where it is?
