    Thanks for the OP but I live 10 mile outside of Newcastle and I work in the town centre so dont think they will let me win this one lol :D

    1. Main prize: There is one prize of a trip to Newcastle for the winner and a guest, both aged 18 or over. Winner will be first entry drawn at random by an independent judge on 09/03/09 from all qualifying entries. The winner of the trip will be notified by email within 14 days of the draw. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. For winner’s details send a stamped SAE to Greatest City Competition, c/o Generator Studios, Trafalgar Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 2LA after 09/03/09.
    1. The prize consists of return economy air or rail travel at the promoter’s discretion from UK destinations only, 2 nights four star bed and breakfast shared accommodation (Friday and Saturday nights) at the Malmaison, The Quayside. Prize winner has the choice of 2 packages.
    2. Package One includes cocktails on Friday night followed by dinner at Rasa. On Saturday, there is an open top bus tour of Newcastle, followed by corporate tickets to a Newcastle FC home game. Prize is based on the Newcastle v Chelsea match on Saturday 4th April. Other home games are on Sat 25th April (against Portsmouth), Sat 9th May (against Middlesborough) or Sat 16th May (against Fulham) – tickets for these games are subject to availability. At night dinner is at The Pitcher & Piano with entry for 2 to Tiger Tiger at The Gate. £500 spending money will be provided for shopping on Sunday, Followed by lunch at Clunys.
    3. Package Two includes cocktails and 3 course champagne dinner at top Newcastle restaurant. Saturday includes corporate tickets to a Newcastle FC home game. Prize is based on the Newcastle v Chelsea match on Saturday 4th April. Other home games are on Sat 25th April (against Portsmouth), Sat 9th May (against Middlesborough) or Sat 16th May (against Fulham) – tickets for these games are subject to availability. On Saturday night dinner is at The Living Room followed by dress circle tickets to An Inspector Calls at The Theatre Royal (only available on 4 April 2009). On Sunday there is a Blue Badge tour of Newcastle followed by lunch at Jesmond Dene House with spa and massage at the historic Newcastle Turkish Baths. All options are subject to availability. For both Options 1 and 2 on 4 April 2009 prize includes Newcastle United football match (home game) with tour of St James Park, drink at The Strawberry, VIP Ticket to Milburn Suite with 3 course buffet lunch. Prize to be taken any Friday and Saturday night between 1st April and 31st May inclusive 2009 (excluding Bank Holidays). Travel insurance, is provided. All additional costs including subsistence outside of scheduled activities in Newcastle, are the responsibility of the winner and their guest.
    1. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The Promoter reserves the right to award alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the advertised prizes become unavailable for any reason.

    T'other half is of Geordie stock, but hasn't been down since April when we last could afford to go to the footie. I am going to be entering this one daily as the game you would attend is just before his birthday and he would love this prize!!

    Na, dont live that close, I live South side of the river :p but I regularly stare out of the window at work and can see St James' and the monument....talk about room with a view :D

    I live south as well, can see St James, Tyne Bridge, Millenium Bridge, bits of the Baltic, Spillers and on a clear day The Cheviots

    Ah, I cant see any of that from home, but can see it from work, I probably live a lot further than 10 miles come to think of it, but dont drive and rely on the metro so not very good with distances!! he he. :D whoops just realised we have completely taken over a thread with conversation.........sorry
