Strange problem with my AOL email account

Basically I can't log on. My username and/or password is not recognised.
If I try to access my email account via Windows Mail, Windows Security keeps asking me for confirmation of my username and password which it wasn't doing until this evening.
Anyone got any ideas what may have happened here? Would like to contact AOL but need to log on to access the email info on their site!!!!!

Sorry to bump but I've just spoken to aol and apparently because this is a free account they can't help me :mad:
What am I supposed to do then?!?!
EDIT: Must also add that I've tried the 'reset password' option but nothing is being sent to my alternate email.
I'm at my wits end as I use this email account a lot and I need to access it.Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small
