Virgin Credit Limit

in Credit cards
Hi
I'm looking at applying for the Virgin Credit Card to get the 0% rate for 16 months.
I want to use this to pay off a loan I have, by transferring the amount to my current account.
However, I will need a credit limit of at least £10000 or there is no point in me getting the card.
I can easily afford my current loan repayments, but this would let me pay my debts off much quicker.
No-one can predict credit limits, but I was wondering what limits other people had been given.
I don't want to be in a situation where I have a credit card with a £5000 limit which I can't/don't want to use.
If I apply and don't get enough, is it easy enough to back out without committing to the card?
Any help or advice gratefully received!

the highest limit I was given straight away was nearer £5k so a straight off limit of £10K is unlikely I'm afraid. For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070
