  • Hi guys,
Just thought i'd update this for you....
Finally the plumbing company sent around a boiler engineer that wasn't lazy!
He explained that the boiler was 10 years old & had not been serviced in a long time, so it could've been anything causing the drop in pressure.. Needing re-pressurising, new pressure release valve etc etc
But as it was 10 years old he couldn't guarantee that if he serviced it that he would be able to get the new parts required
As we suspected it wasn't a leak under the floorboards.
They installed a new boiler & funnily enough there has been no drop in pressure since!
Thanks to you all for your help!

you have a drop in pressure that prob only required a £20 pressure relief valve, a 10 year old boiler that you can't get parts for ????, not been serviced in a long time, my god he certainly wasn't lazy when he talked you into a new boiler
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

    Please name these 'energetic' plumbers!
Almost any 10 year old boiler will still have parts available-what make and model was it?
New PRV and re-pressurise-perhaps 30 mins at most.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I bet they helpfully offered to take the old boiler 'for scrap' too...probably already installed elsewhere.
