Has anyone here used one.com for there sites... It seems to be the cheapest and best service... I googled it for reviews but they were all negative.. however they were on sites that were affiliateing other sites that done the same kind of service... so they may have been fake.. they seemed like it..
yeah, any eexperiance with this site? Would you recomend it?

Personally I would avoid and webhosts that are owned by 1&1, Lycos or 123reg.
It depends what kind of site you will be hosting and where the servers need to be. If you are hosting a UK based website, then it makes sense to get a uk based server. Don't assume that if you sign up with a .co.uk web host that the server is in the UK as many of them are not.0 -
try hostgator.com best ,no vat ,no trouble 3years0

www.ovh.co.uk have a deal on at the moment, unlimited free .uk domain names with (I believe) any hosting-related package. I've got a few RPS's with them (private servers) and have got numerous free domain names over the last month.
Not everyone's cup of tea but worth investigating.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

been with one.com for a couple of years now and can't fault them. I only have basic needs and they've been good enough for me. First year was cheap with a free offer plus quidco0

Gain it depends what you want, if you want a something cheap get your domain with someone like fasthosts etc then you have complete control. Then look on Ebay and pick up hosting off a reseller. It can be got very cheaply. There are of course downsides like the company may cease to trade, but these are well outweighed by the price in my opinion for anything other than business critical sites.
Make sure you keep a back up of your site so if the worst ever happened you could go else where. I have been doing this for a number of years and have never had any problems, you should be able to pick a year up for about £2-£4.The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.
