Try running msconfig ..
Click on 'Start' .. then type 'msconfig' in the search box .. press return!
A dialog should pop up which gives you a list of start up options, services etc.
click on the start up tab and select the ones you want (or think you need!)
re-boot when prompted.
This is from memory by the way .. but it should be close enough ..0 -
Hi Loaner i tried that last night but it wouldnt restore the settings .
Pikeyp thank you that has fixed it . Do you know how to stop the windows popup , to stop future clicking temptation .0 -
The popup is from Windows Defender. You need to click allow. It won't disable anything but allow the changes you've made. It won't do it again.
To prevent this in the future, create an account for yourself on the laptop and password protect it. Change the sons account to a Standard User. That way if he wants to install stuff, uninstall stuff or make system changes, it requires you to put in your password.0 -
Thanks Conor i'll do that0
