I have an NTL line at my shop. Can I still use 1866 etc for the same rates as at home.

No. You need to have a BT landline to be able to use 1899, 18866 etc. prefixes.shazndaz wrote:I have an NTL line at my shop. Can I still use 1866 etc for the same rates as at home.
OTOH, you could access those services via the 0808 numbers they provide for cable landline customers. 1899 is the cheapest I believe (3p connection and 0.5p/minute to UK 01/02 numbers - far cheaper than NTL.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
1899 is the best bet for 01/02 calls and 18185 for mobiles,as they dont mind if you use it from a business or residential line.Other suppliers could offer you a smart box/short code access but only if it was a residential line at shop.PF.0
