Getting the run around

Hi All,

Well I noticed on my Credit Card bill that they took a direct debit out of my account on the 19th Nov for £15.44 yet according to my online banking and to the bank no money has left my account, the direct debit has been set up and shows in my list of payess yet the bank tell me to phone the credit card company, and when I speak to the CC company they say they deff have the money, gave me the sort code and account number it came from which is my account and said it was going to be returned as unpaid it will have done by now and they say phone the bank, phone the bank and they say oh no, no money has left phone the cc company arghhhhh.

I'm just worried that the CC company turn around and say oh no we didint get the money, sting me for non payment and take away my 9 month 0% deal, any ideas of advice on what I can do

    I'm confused.
    If the credit card company confirm they have the money, why are they returning it as unpaid ?? Surely you should be asking the credit card company if they confirm they have the payment why isnt it credited to you card. Then worry about the bank not updating or whatever your bank account statement. Also 19th was a wednesday so prolly not counting wed, working days are thurs,fri,mon, today is tuesday it can be normal for some credit card companys to take 5 working days to credit your account.
  • Sorry a little confusing isnt, ill water it down, Credit Card say they have taken the direct debit from my account, yet no money has left my account and the bank say nothing is pending. When I checked with the credit card company they do have the right sort code and account number for me but I dont know where they have claimed this money from as it has not left my bank account.

    Keep getting the run around from both and am a loss

    This exact same thing happened to me but with AOL not a CC, back in august.

    They said theyd took the payment everything was fine, I said no you havent.

    Phoned them again in October and they said the payment was returned unpaid ( yet there was sufficeint funds...)

    To end it all they just took the DD again in Nov, but they didnt take it when they said they would and said they didnt know why it wasnt being taken! Even though they have the correct details. I am still waiting on a reason as to why Oct was ok, but Aug and Nov were not!
