Hi all,
Many years ago whilst a student I got into a bit of debt with HBOS (Then called Midland!). I couldnt pay my overdraft off as I was a student. this was approximately 10 years ago. If I opened a new account with Halifax (Or any other HBOS subsiduary) can they take money from my account or will the previous account now have been erased?
Thanks in advance,
Regards
Matt

Midland is now part of HSBC, not HBOS (Halifax/Bank of Scotland). They are not connected in any way.0
