Apple Store

My YD recently managed to spill water on her Macbook which is only 6 months old so still under warranty- however because it was accidental damage its not covered under the warranty. I took it into the store without realising you are supposed ot make an appt at the "Genius Bar" - anyway the guy in the store said he would see if they could squeeze me in since I was there already rather than come back another day.
Anyway - they looked at it and told me it would be about £100 to fix- thought ok well, gotta be done!
Anyway they said it would take up to 7 days to fix because they didn't have the part in stock! Fair enough I thought!
Anyway got a call next day- literally 24 hours later to say it was fixed and ready to collect!!
I went a couple of days later - the store is 15 miles away- and it was all fixed, their customer service was excellent and they said "It didn't cost as much as we quoted you- we didn't need to replace as much as we thought we would so your cost is £52!"
Apple's online store is excellent too- always fast delivery, nearly always free shipping and the BEST returns service I have experienced!
They could have easily charged me the whole amount they originally quoted so its nice to experience a store that is not just out to rip you off!!
