LOB Transfers

My wife has just received some cheques for LOB transfers at 6.9%.

Am I right in thinking that she can use these cheques to clear some of my cards, which I can then close.

I am sure I have read this before but am unable to find it, I also believe that the debt(s) would then become her's.

Thanks in advance for any input......

She would be liable for the debts if it isn't a joint account.

I also wouldn't close the cards unless you can't resist spending on them. You may get better offers or some 0% offers that you can use to reduce the amount of interest you are paying.

if your wife spends CC cheques written on her CC account then clearly those debts will be hers... doesn't matter what they are used for.
