why not log into your bank account as presumably it will be mentioned there?0

well the offer is shown on the bank website but presumably fraudsters could be copying it
not that there is anything asking for info in the email

I'd say legit, but if you're ever suspicious, remember that legitimate offers can *always* be found either on HSBC's main website at hsbc.co.uk and/or via Internet banking.
The competition is real, fwiw - sadly not open to HSBC staff members, as I just greened my main account
