ELC glitch works on books also

Does anyone know the legal aspect on this? I thought that once they had taken your credit card details & sent you a confirmation email they had entered into a contract with you?

I used to work for a national retailer (customer relations) and I know that when we made errors like this we had to honour them and always did.

I shall be challenging them if they cancel my order.

well waterstones certainly didnt honour and i had confirmation and also paid

This is in their terms & conditions:

When you submit an order, it represents simply an offer by you to purchase the products. It is not binding on us until we have notified you that the order is accepted and the goods have been dispatched by us. This means that if a product is shown on the web site but is not available or is incorrectly priced or otherwise incorrectly described, Early Learning Centre shall not be obliged to sell you that product.


Time will tell if they honour them or not, quidco is still showing as tracked for my order....

no they dont have to honour if its an error theres several thread on here regarding honouring price errors

hi phonned them this morning to ask about delivery lady on phone said order was with pickers so should be dispatched today.

Mine is showing the correct amount as being taken off my balance but not saying anything on the statement iyswim
