I went to boots yesterday as they had sent me a £5.00 voucher if i spent over £10.00 on baby products.
huggies wipes were on bogof offer so i got 6 packs of wipes £7.47
i got 1 pack of pampers wife which came with free wipes dispenser £2.49
and a box of medicine £1.49
which total £11.47
i gave my £5.00 voucher in and paid£6.47 i also recieved 51 boots points
which gave me total £5.96 i will then sell one of my old pamper wipes dispencer on ebay for around £4.00
then my wipes will have cost me a fraction
my oh just could not believe that i thought like that and that he says its too much effort

Tell to wait till he sees what he's got for Christmas and without the bargain hunting shrewdness you have he wouldn't be getting anything.

i love it too, and it often sounds more complicated than it actually ever is!

Are you serious, will people really pay £4 for an old pampers wipes dispenser box???0 -
absolutely not a lot of shops stock them i think0

BLimey. There's £4 I'm sitting on without realising it!
My OH is the same. I've given up thinking I'll ever get him to be as diligent about money as me, but at least he listens when I explain why we've got to do things such and such a way!0 -
I am gutted - I just threw mine away! Grrr.....DFW Nerd #11520

:hello: My hubby took a (long) while to get on board but I indoctrinated the kids (cos they are allowed to nag him!
) and just kept banging on about it all until he kind of absorbed MSE-ness by osmosis and started doing it all without really realising things used to be any different.
I mean obviously he's a man so it was all his idea, reached after much logical consideration and absolutely nothing to do with anything I have been saying or doing!
The only hard part is biting my tongue when he explains some aspect of moneysaving to me at length - when it was me who explained it to him two bleeding years ago!
So just keep at girls. Keep talking about it all and do it all as if it was the most natural thing in the world and a person would be an idiot to do things any other way.
They'll catch on eventually.
And even if they don't seem to be catching on yet they are grateful for us doing it . (In their own special completely undetectable way!
)
