£75 parking fee!!!

So I drove 10miles down the road to get my cheap hair cut and parked where I've parked before (only the second time I've been there) came back a couple of hours later to find I was clamped! Had to ring and get them to come take the clamp off and pay a £75 charge!! :eek:

It was a private car park where you are supposed to display a sticker or badge to say you can park there.
I know it's most likely my own fault but I genuinely didn't see the sign or know any better....what was most annoying and slightly embarrassing was when I was waiting for guy to come unclamp me I realised there was a pay and display car park across the road which is only 60p an hour!:o

Persuming there isn't much I can do about it but learn to look more closely but wondering if anyone else has come a cropper with this?

Heard that from a few people now....was quite lucky too cos sign did say automatic towing area or something.
Still burnt my hand when I had to get my card out!!!:o

I hope it was your credit card, not debit, as you may me able to do a chargeback, follow advice on post 3 and start a thread on their forums.
