Haven't a clue, but you need to find out why the gasket failed and you will want to check the head is not warped...so its a bit like how long is a piece of string.

I'll take a stab at the gasket and depending where you go I would have thought £200-£400. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on prices will be along soon.

...and head bolts? Does that include inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets? Thermostat/switch/housing seals on the head? Oil change? Antifreeze? Also, is that genuine or aftermarket? I'd never buy aftermarket on something like that.

It'll be a bit more involved than Keith suggests im afraid :o but wouldn't say more than Hintza's top end quote. £200 is a bit optomistic IMO though.

  • would the head not neet to be stripped prior to skimming?

If so thats got to be a fair bit of time? 8/16valves removed and replaced with new seals etc.

I'd have said £400 minimum myself. Havent the yaris engines got that VVTI thing a bit like Vtec?
