  • Meant to add... your fitter should know all this anyway.
Nothing is easy........'til you find out how!
  • thanks so much for all the info jockster, fitter went away on hols right after giving the quote and i think all the cut corners he suggested have been to cut costs, i've taken a real interest in the project now and blown the budget with my choices.

Very helpful, thanks for taking the time.

with the shower wall in v expensive 10x10 glass tiles, because i love them and have to have them

Do you mean the glass blocks?

I have these and didn't find them that expensive.

Bought the whole kit, including the frame from http://www.glassblocks.co.uk/

(No connection - just satisfied with the product, price and service).

Agree though - they're amazing and have a "timeless" look.

I think you should find a different fitter. If he's finding this many issues before he starts, Lord knows what he will come up with once he has. It certainly sounds to me like he's trying to cut corners.

Why on earth wouldn't you want a new radiator with a fully tiled bathroom? And why would he even try to persuade you not to have a tiled floor.

Some people are 'can do' people and they are infinitely better to do business with. You present them with what you want - they find a way to deliver that, not criticise your choices.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

To be fair to the fitter, i had no idea what i wanted when he came round and he offered a lot of good advice/ product choice aswell which I am going with, I have now got really interested in the project and he isn't here to ask the questions.
