nationwide charge

I been charged 30 pounds for a bounced cheque first time it has ever happened in over 7 years, av i got any chance of an appeal?

    Yes, just phone them up or go into a branch. If you've been a customer for 7 years and never had a charge, chances are they'll just cancel it straight away.

    When this happened to me, they refunded half the charge.

    I do suggest you ask them for an overdraft facility, so if you slip into the red you will only pay pennies in interest. They do not charge for this.

    If you can get an overdraft that is...... Been with them since 1999, 4 figure salary every month, kept in the black... will they let me have one? Course not! I don't think Nationwide have any internal scoring, that's probably why...
    I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

    The online banking shows the amount 'reserved' for you for an overdraft.

    Mine was sitting at £100 for a long time when I just used the account for overseas transactions.
