I am just trying to fully clarify what you mean by 'not good' ?
I personally wouldnt touch it with a very long bargepole
But if you want to double check (And I sure as hell would)
Download MALWAREBYTES
http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&!!!!!button
UPDATE and QUICK SCAN
If it finds anything then clearly Norton isnt what you hope it is (But its also majorly dependant on how SAFE you use your computer):idea:0 -

You'll see how Norton fares... Surprisingly well. It's a complete and utter resource hog on the other hand and never recemmended or used by IT professionals.

What people faile to realise though is that ANY site can be 'hacked'
The bigger ones in particular as hackers know that theyll be able to infect LOADS of 'unprotected' pcs
So for example, this very site could be hacked and a trojan sent out to every computer that reaches it!
Thats NOT the fault of the user, as the user is being as 'safe' as he/she can.
Ergo, decent protection MUST be used.:idea:0 -

Theyve apparantly taken a good stab at lightening the resources. Im going to wait and see before I judge for sure, but in the past ive had unbelievable amounts of problems with norton on various computers (NOT just resources):idea:0 -

Take a look at this thread and read it from top to bottom and hopefully you'll appreciate why, on the whole, Norton hasn't been regarded favourably in the past:

No worries
you might also want to consider SPYBOT (Immunise if you do)
SPYWAREBLASTER (Prevents nasties)
and scanning with either SPYWARE DOCTOR or SUPER ANTI SPYWARE:idea:0
