I've had a good day, didn't get to Lidl in the end... ah well, it can wait till tomorrow. I did meet mother for lunch, she did pay! And... she bought me 2 pairs of jeans for my christmas pressy! Plus she's going to give me some money too!!!! I'd told her all about my budget, I think she felt sorry for me! :rotfl: Did I mention I'm on a tight budget for the next 4 years!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

She bought 2 rolls of M&S wrapping paper.... the woman on the check out said, that paper's on 3 for 2... don't you want another roll? Mother replied, 'no, I only want 2' ........ I reached over picked up another roll, and said, I'll have it mum! Did I mention my new budget :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyhoo... lovely butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot and coconut soup for tea! YUM! My tummy's all warm now. I'm going to get settled on the sofa and watch Spooks in a bit.

See you all later, or tomorrow, early night for me... vvvveeeerrrry tired this evening.

  • I am so fed up! OH had his card declined when fueling up and came home in a foul mood, blaming me, cancel gym membership etc, but he hasn't used his more than four times in three years and I've asked him over and over to write and cancel, but it takes three months and he has to do it himself, as it's in his name. The rest of us use ours regularly. This means we are up to our overdraft limit - again, and he's going on about working all the hours that God sends, for nothing. When I'm not off sick, I was working up to 80 hours with no overtime, so he isn't the only one who works hard, but what really makes me angry is that work owes me almost £300 in expenses, which I submitted nearly 3 weeks ago, and I text my boss tonight to find she only submitted them to Head Office last week so they won't be paid in till the end of this week, and if that had been paid in more quickly, we wouldn't be in such a bad situation. The other thing is that OH will not discuss budgets, finances etc, but just goes out, earns it, expects me to make sure all the bills get paid, food on table etc, from our joint account where both our pay goes, but he still smokes and just uses his card for tobacco or anything else and never brings me receipts, so I can think I've accounted for everything and then find I've miscalculated because I haven't allowed for something that he's spent.

Sorry, but it just makes me so miserable and even the kids pay more attention to this than he does.

  • Froddington - thoughts and prayers for your pupil. Hope all goes well and she starts to improve. When I got DS there was a member of staff waiting for an ambulance at his school for another member of staff who had been taken ill. Don't know anything yet about what happened there.

reminds me of when my mum used to take my great Aunt shopping and she wouldn't have the BOGOFs because she didn't want two. My mum would say 'we'll take it anyway, Valli can have it' only she used my real name...this was on tinned which would keep. Why wouldn't you?
Got any leftovers from that soup? I could take it to work tomorrow...

Hope Froddy that you're ok and that your pupil is too...

No flying here, but I did cook dinner, and do the washing up. Not great day at work, and no heating in our block, so frozen too.

Froddington - keeping your pupil in my thoughts.

Off to the sofa to stare vacantly at Spooks - I can barely follow the story on an evening when I'm full of energy, so little hope for it making sense tonight!
