Bah I'm so depressed :( House is a complete tip! I'm getting stressed at the children but mainly because of the mess.

    Arrrrrrrgh!

Gryfon, no point in stressing - use the energy postively instead! Get up, and do a HHC with me. Do 15 minutes on each room, and do the things that have the biggest impact. Walk away from the computer or it will be lunchtime and you will be stressing that you did nothing at all! :p

I spent the last HHC sanding the BR wall, generated more dust but better than waiting for DH to do it after I had cleaned up. I have also tidied more of the pantry shelves and just have the cleaning shelf to do. DR is a tip though, I would post a picture but might die of shame :o . Can't tidy it, two cats are asleep in the mess......

Thanks both :) I seem to have the problem that I stress, work myself up, stress even more and then as you say it's lunchtime and nothing is done! Think I'm just fed up of walking over stuff which ok I should have moved but I'm not the only one living in this house! Unfortunately DD2 is only 18 months so seems to walk along behind me making a mess as she goes! The big two who are 6 and 9 are a nightmare to get to do anything! I get fed up of telling them to do things :(

Ok I shall move and try to do something, need to put yet more washing on (nooooo!) and try to clear the kitchen floor so I can clean it.

    Dailies -

    [strike]Make beds[/strike]
    [strike]DW,[/strike][strike]WM, BM, CM[/strike]
    [strike]Feed dogs, cats and fish[/strike]
    Groom dogs and cats
Walk dogs - I may be up to going round the block (1st time in a month) - not sure I'll manage that.

Also want to do what I can from here:
Manic Monday - Kitchen, Utility and Dining Room/Area
    Level One
    Clean floors in these areas
    Level Two
    [strike]Wipe down surfaces[/strike]
Wipe kitchen [strike]cupboard fronts[/strike] and kickboards
[strike]Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, fridge, freezer etc) and inside the microwave[/strike]
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Clean washer drawer, filters on the dryer, dishwasher and cooker hood filters
Clean the oven if missed last week or it needs it
Extra tasks - if you want to do more:
[strike]Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms[/strike]
Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps, a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
[strike]Empty one shelf (or the top of a cupboard) clean it, clean what's on it and put it all back (did this last week)
Clean out and organize one cupboard, more if you like[/strike] (and this)
[strike]Wipe & replace small appliances like kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)[/strike]

I also need to carry on putting the books back on the shelves that came downstairs today. All down!:j
[strike]DS has the doc at 8.30 then school for one lesson so to-ing and fro-ing with him.[/strike] And been to and from school

And I've put the casserole in the slow cooker!

Got to go to town for a few bits, but am trying to go with the "shop like your granny used to" scheme.

May go for paint for the base coat in the lounge as well. If DH gets ceiling done, he can begin the walls later! :p

Change of plan - Denise :hello: - I'm off to Abergavenny. DS's GF called to ask if I could taker her to the hospital (Mother has a "really bad back" today). She spent 5 hours there yesterday  and sounded so rough I said yes as I know if I don't, the b*tch will just go on and on at her which will make her feel worse. Also DS will come for the ride which will give them some time together.

Johanne - do you think he's seen the error of his ways?

Morning all, well what have I been up to so far. Ummmmmmm I had a big bust up with DD's school and women over the road. I ended up saying a few choice words and slamming the door shut. The I stormed up stair and dented a door with my fist.

Anyways this out of the way I felt more energetic to do a bit of cleaning and have started wanging out toys that are old and decrepid.

Got loads to do but cold and hungry waiting for stupid gas people to come.

Not a good morning as you can tell but hey it might get better.

can you make a tidying up job into a game with them or are they too young? I often cagoule my 3.5 year old into helping with the washing/drying up and putting away of the dishes - he also loves putting they clothes into the washing machine and taking them out again once washed.

Big Hugs to squeeze out the stress xxx

Gryfon - I'd definitely try this. Think Nanny 911 etc. I didn't use marbles, but printed off little "vouchers" of 5, 10, 20 points. Each job had a points value, then they could trade in the vouchers for "whatever" - DVD time, PS time etc, even baking time. It's worth a try to take some of the pressure off you, and make your time with them a bit more fun. Hugs. xxx

OOOHHHH PinkFairy..... I like that idea, think I might use it with my little angels lol.
The oldest loves watching films and playing on my DS so could use those as rewards, must think of a couple of other things too.
    Great idea.

I do have tokens! But I can't find them :o I think they've disappeared under the mess on my desk

Well I was going to go but then DD2 caught her foot in some strapping on a bag I'd left on the floor and hit the side of her face on the corner of a cardboard box :( Yesterday she injured herself slipping on a book I think she'd dropped on the floor.

Ok really going to move now! She's fallen again
