DH and I have just watched Survivors. Did anyone else? What did you think? I remember it first time round in the early 80's I think.... showing my age now! Mind you, you lot saw me turn 40, so no surprises there! :p

Yeah we watched it to. I thought it was really good. Makes you think. I've decided all my children must learn a valuable trade;) And I was to young to see it first time round;)

We really enjoyed it. I loved the comedy value of the young lad, and Mr Champagne. And the sinister murderer. I'll suspend belief on them all finding each other so quickly.

  • I'm in again (only thing that keeps me on track ;) LOL). Will report on Tunis Cake Mk1 tomorrow (I think it needs to be made in a smaller tin, baked for less time than the recipe suggests and I should have had considerably more chocolate ...........I really didn't sneak any into my mouth, honest!!!:o ).

Holly - ooh ouch, you poor thing (((hugs))) - hope you are feeling better soon.

The only bit that bothered me was that 'whatsername' the one we thought was dead and then she woke up later and burnt her 'dead' DH body. What if he wasn't really dead, like she wasn't:eek:

Hello eveyone! :hello: This is my first post but i have been reading this thread for weeks. I have decided to join in too as i tend to do eveything on the one day! I have a week off work so this is the ideal time to start :D . My DH and I are doing up our whole house so plastering and sanding will probably feature in my list:rolleyes: !

    I'm in again.

It's taken me ages to catch up on the chat, as I last checked the thread on Thursday night! Came home on Friday and did nothing... followed by doing nothing on Saturday... this morning I sorted my laundry to take the urgent stuff to my brother's (as there is no plaster on the utility room wallls, and no floor, I'm not convinced that the WM will be back in there tomorrow), tidied & cleaned the kitchen, including vacuuming the floor and washing it (and the hall & loo floors) TWICE!!! I also managed to clean the bath, loo & basins, strip my bed, vacuum & turn the mattress, hoover the bedroom floor and put away most of the clothes that were lurking around the place.

Went to see my brother and was almost knocked over by his girlfriend when she saw me... he proposed yesterday! So we had a very long lunch out with some friends to catch up. It's great news, although not entirely a surprise as they're clearly well suited. It turns out he's been planning this for 4 months, even going up to London several times to get the ring designed & made.

My mum is coming down on Wednesday evening and meeting my brother for supper - hopefully his girlfriend & I will make it too, but we don't have such regular working hours (he's a GP, and finishes when he's seen his last patient, and has no motorway to negotiate to get home!). She's then staying for a few days to help me sort out the garden, and we're also having a few treatments at a local salon and going to visit her aunt and uncle near Bath who she hasn't seen for years. So I'm not sure how much I'll get done, but my mum's pretty clean and tidy, so the situation shouldn't deteriorate... and you never know, I might even get my WM/TD/DW/MW & Freezer back this week!

Hugs to all who need them, welcome to the newbies. See you all during the week...

Count me in this week, need to get organised.......again.

Party was great, I was forced to have jelly and icecream, yum. :D

I am ashamed to say that I haven't managed to get school uniforms done or anything, tomorrow should be fun, I'm hoping that there is a stash of clean stuff in their rooms. The kitchen side with WM was pretty much out of bounds as plaster still wet and sockets not ok to use until plaster dry.

I've got a busy day at work tomorrow too...argh.

    Welcome new flylady friends.:hello:

greenbee nice to see you back in, with clean clothes :) congratulations to your brother and his wife to be, not many goto the effort of having a ring made now, how lovely. I did offer for you to use my washer but figured it's a bit far

Triker it's nice to know I am not alone with the food comfort zone having cupboards overspilling, my 'excess' is in plastic crates and in the garage (in addition to 2 !!!!!! one being american style and cupboards overflowing) I am not looking forward to this not buying test and already eeeked because I am almost out of peanut butter :o

Well DP snoozed and is wide awake again  been told he's getting nowt off me:rolleyes: he's been away all day and I am knackered. Sat having a bottle of blue pop to get me to sleep as I know he'll snore due to lack of sleep. Emailed LL to offer for me to pay for gas safety test for now and deduct from February rent so she doesn't have the reduced rent in December, can't be fairer than that can I ?

Going to get myself to bed soon, when I can be bothered to move, managed to rejig FC modding rota, still making me laugh that it's because we have Santa on our team :rotfl: need to finish my research project next week too......
One day I might be more organised...........
