Where to find a CR2032 lithium battery for doorbell

Can anyone help.

I need to replace the battery on my doorbell. Last time I had to buy a whole new doorbell as I couldn't find the battery. Am I being stupid or are they difficult to find!!

If anyone could tell me where I could find one I would be very grateful.

A common battery used in many devices. Recently bought a Panasonic branded one in Morrisons for £1.99 but you should be able to buy one in most shops especially camera shops.

I got mine from eBay - got a pack of 6 for something ridiculous like £2 including postage.

I must say however, it's an unusual sized battery for a doorbell - these are more common in timepieces and small electrical gizmos.

Froogle's already been mentioned, but even more obvious is just to type it into google.co.uk. You'll hardly be short of results.

CR2032 are the backup battery normally fitted to the motherboard of PC's.

Any computer shop or workshop should have them on the shelf for a couple of quid at the most. Even the dreadful Dixons will have them - but probably for £3.50 ! Each.

If you use them a lot then bulk buying will get the prices in the postings above however for PC use they will last at least 3 years and probably twice that in practice.

You could also save money in the long run by buying a door knocker ......
