It'll last about 12 months and then look like a right mess!!
You could have it done properly, but then the same thing could happen again in a few months.
If I were you i'd leave it until you come to part with the car so it's looking nice and fresh.
I wouldnt say Chipsway are cheap - I have had them out on 3 occasions and its cost me over £600 in total. I highly recommend them though - Its done within a day at a place of your choice i.e home or work.
As for it lasting for 12 months, the paintwork is guaranteed for 2 years anyway...“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -
One thing to bear in mind if using chips away or similar, that i did not say in my lst post ,is that ,as it is a franchise workmanship may differ between opperators.
If anyone uses them it may pay to ask to see examples of their work,i did and the bloke was happy to oblige and showed me another vehicle he had repaired in my area. There are two sides to every story.

Definately give Chips Away a call, they will be much cheaper than that. My car was keyed all down down one side and they repaired it for just over £100. This was a couple of years ago and its still OK now.:TProud to have lived within my means all my life :T0

chips away or similar aren't always able to do it. It doesn't need to be down to the metal to be too far gone for a "cheap" repair
I'd leave it. I've had my car and my wifes car damaged by another idiot.
and I bet a few months after it's fixed, someone will do something similar.
too many idiots not enough poison gas.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -
