My friend got a personalised mug, I think she went to a place where you decorate the mug yourself - she got the colour to match the colour of their kitchen, and wrote Husband on it.

One of my friends have her hubby2B a nice engraved pocket watch on the morning of their wedding, he was able to slip it into his waistcoat pocket for the service. Lovely idea, I think - more of a keepsake than a normal watch...0

My wife got me a pair of engraved silver collar stiffeners as a gift on the morning of our wedding. I don't know if you're fiance goes to a lot of meetings, but I use these everytime I wear a shirt for meetings (never wear a tie though).
I on the other hand got her a Radley bag...0
