We had terrible problems with Pixamania last year. We ordered a camera, and they took the money from our credit card. Then they emailed us that they wouldn't send it as for our benefit they wouldn't ship it until less we sent proof of id such as a photocopy of a passport. With identity theft as it is, there was no way we were sending something like that.

So we replied stating that the credit card company had no problem with the transaction, and if they had queries as to it's validity they should contact the credit card company, who in turn could verify it with us if they wished.

We had paid for special fast delivery as we wanted it in time for a holiday. At the expected delivery date, we had no camera, they had our money, and they weren't willing to send it!!

Anyway we cancelled the order, but it still took ages to get the money refunded on the credit card.

We would never think of using Pixmania again.
