Main problem seems to be sale agreed - then people seem to be arranging the mortgage - not before.
The days of 100% or even 95% mortgages seem to have gone for now.0 -

What ever happended to the idea of getting a mortgage agreement in principle before putting in any offers?0 -
I find this interesting because myself and my partner have (over the last 4 months) found 3 properties that we liked. They were all being marketed by three spearate EA and all of them REFUSED to submit our offer(s) until they had PROOF of a DiP... i cant believe that EA are still agreeing to Sold STC before a mortgage has been agreedGetting Married Sat Aug 22nd 2009...... so excited!!

We're buying at the moment and didn't have to show proof od DiP before offer accepted. We arranged the mortgage after having offer accepted - we were advised by our broker to do this because the mortgage markets have been changing so quickly. Wonder if other buyers are getting similar advice??0
