I have a current account with Citibank have a few thousand there should I remove the funds as the bank is looking doomed?
With there falling share price anyone else removing there money? as it's not a good sign when a bank is thinking of being bought out or part sold.

Citibank is the biggest bank in the world. Not that it means much, but where else would you put your money. Fully covered under FSA £50k protection.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

Citibank are absolutely huge, the biggest bank in the US. They're not going anywhere.
However, keeping thousands of pounds in a current account earning no interest is a little bit silly. I'd move it elsewhere, into a savings account of some kind, based on that alone.0 -

I guess an official announcement will be made before Monday's open. I have got some money with Citi and I am below the 50K limit so I am quite happy.0

Should have said I have the main money in the Flex Saver 4 which is linked to the current account there so earning interest0 -
Glad someone raised this question, as I was thinking the same thing.
