Quidco and More than

Hi,
Over the past few weeks I have been looking at quotes whilst waiting for my current insurance to give me a renewal quote.
Best deal was "more than" (£300) with and extra £40 odd quid cashback from quidco, excellent. £260 for insurance! So I waited for my current insurer to tell me their quote. Got it today at £568! Rang them not to auto-renew and logged back onto quidco to find to my horror that car insurance has been removed! I tried with a different site (FreeFivers?) and the link on thier site errors?
Does anyone know if its likely to be a temp thing or indefinite? I have to renew by 16th Dec I will wait a week for any updates then take out the policy.
Debts going!
Car £[strike]7000[/strike] Now £0
CC £[STRIKE]2100[/STRIKE] Now £0

  • If it's any consolation, I bought a More Than car policy through Quidco in MARCH 08 and still waiting to be paid.

My son took out his MoreThan policy beginning of April. It ddn't track - we think because the MoreThan website was playing up at the time and he kept having to refresh the page.

After putting through an enquiry with Quidco it eventually came back that the money had been paid to another affiliate which was simply not true. However nothing we could do about it.

Other times we have been successful with MoreThan.

quidco seems to move the payments to the next month every month..
at first my halifax car insurance was to be paid october then it was moved to november ..I wonder if it will move to december at the end of the month???
  • You have bags of time to wait in any case.. car insurance can be taken out on the spot but would do it a couple of days in advance to be sure..

just a personal opinion... always treat cashback as a potential bonus and never make a decision based on it.

    Hi,

Anyone having problems with Quidco paying up for HalifaxCar Insurance?

I taken out Halifax C/I and it tracked as £40 within couple of days. I have checked my quidco account today and its showing as declined. I have paid my Halifax C/I in full.

    Thanks

Just depends if Quidco have another amnesty of paying out the items they should have paid out in the past year, my experience is to keep raising tickets and wait around a year or just remove Quidco from your browser and memory and get on with life
