Stovax or Franco Belge

Hello,
I'm considering replacing the broken coal fired C/H system with a gas one, but replace the fire with a stove. I've looked at a Tiger+ and Firefox 3 stove but have made my way along to Stovax Stockton (3, 4 or maybe 5) and after some salesmans pitch I've had a look at a Franco Belge Belfort or Montford.

Does anyone have one of the above? What's your opinion on them?

I was concerned that the heat output would be to high for the room (as they burn best at near their max output). The room is about 3.8m x 4m x 2.2m, there is one door way into the hall and french doors into the garden. The room doesnt have any cavity of floor insulation.

thanks all.

Funnily enough we went to a stove " shop" today to enquire about wood burners ( multifuel) They recommended the Franco Belge rather that the stovax which i was interested in even though they seem to be a similar price. They didnt give a reason....Certainly the Franco Belge - Savoy - appeared to be alot more attractive and durable looking. We are tempted with that one....
