Please can anyone help, we havn`t been here before and so not sure about good seats. We would like the stalls but with a good view. Are the seats stepped in the stalls area (or if not all of them do you know which row the steps start) or is it sloped.
Many thanks

i have been to the theatre many times, and have never had a problem any where i have sat in the stalls, from memory the seats have a decent rake so you can see over the people in front fine, the middle is the best veiw, however most shows the sides of the stalls are fine as well, just a bit of a risk if the set is set up that has scenery on the sides that may impare the veiw.
at any theatre i try and sit in the first 10 rows or so of the stallsMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
try not to sit too far back in the stalls as the overhang from the circle can restrict view at the top of the stage - might be important in Mary Poppins!0

if the theatre has a web site it may show the layout of the seating areas.
I know the Newcastle City Hall has this facility on its website
worth a trymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks for the replies its appreciated, please do you know if any of the seats are lower than the stage - especially the first few rows! (when we go to the Empire in Liverpool like to be the first row of the steps which is about half way and are level with stage)
Thanks again0 -
