when you ring them ask to speak to a UK call centre, thats what a lot of people do! You might be able to resolve things then!

My statement also says Purchase Annual Rate 12.90%

on the summary tab of the statement but if I go to the Transactions tab it says:

Interest On Your Promotional Spending
BALANCE 677.49 INTEREST 0.000% TO Nov 2009

So it looks like I have 0% until November 2009. It also says the estimated interest next month is £0.

I waited to see the outcome of this and have finally got my first (2nd) statement. As Colinw said above on the Transactions tab it also says:-

Interest On Your Promotional Spending
BALANCE xxx.xx INTEREST 0.000% TO Dec 2009

Hence you should wait until the first statement (i.e. with more than nil balance) to get confirmation.


I did set-up a Direct Bebit for the min amount, I can't find out if this money will be taken on the statement - I have sent them a e-mail and await there answer, but I have concluded that the statements are not very good for this account, providing information which is not needed but omitting key point which is required!
