Fed Up, Brassed Off And Pig Sick. !!!!

I have just got to let off steam, before I burst.!!!!. We are on a DMP plan, and have been since March 08, paying back £1680 every month to our creditors....never missed a payment etc.....SO WHY DON'T THEY STOP HOUNDING ME. !

I am sick of phone calls and letters from, Clydesdale, Goldfish, HFC, ....and Lloyds TSDB are a pain in the ........!... We pay them £333.31 a month and they will not consider reducing our interest at all, in fact they wonder if I can pay more......more....

Sorry for ranting, but I feel fairly low this morning. Do these people not realise, that if I had more cash, I would pay them back now just to get rid of them. What do they want me to do.

Now I am having a coffee and a cake just to calm down......

Anyone else have the same grumble.

Have you thought of getting an 09 phone number so they pay to talk to you?

Well, that's the other thing.......most of the calls are for my husband, but he works away for quite a lot of the time, hence my dealing with things. Therefore they say they cannot talk to me, so we took the next step and he gave authority for them to speak to me.......but guess what they can't find anything referring to that., either in writing, or authority been given over the phone....... Funny, but they never seem to lose my BILL..... So that makes it even more frustrating......

Sorry, I know you are trying to help. They ring at silly times too, 7.45am at weekends ot even late at night..........Aghhhhhh

On a more serious note, why not use an answer machine, and only pick up if it's someone you want to speak to?

Hi Elsie I know how you feel, I'd freeze whenever the phone would ring, shall I pick it up etc...? And yes, they'd ring at all sorts of ridiculous times. I think it's bad that they still call you even though you've agreed a plan with them?!?! The phone stopped ringing once my IVA was approved and I now know that it'll be someone I want to hear from when it rings!

As bryan suggests get an answerphone so you only have to call back people you want to or... unplug the phone from the wall for a bit!!

Thanks for replying guys, and sorry for ranting, but I have reached meltdown today.....I am sure you all know what I mean when I say it just seems that when you think you've got it sorted and everything appears to be running smoothly......they start again.!!

I know one thing for sure, once this lot is paid off there will never be another loan or credit card coming into this house.

It's a hard lesson to learn, but one I'll never forget.

Hi. You do not have to put up with this. There is a letter on here you can send them stating you only wish to be contacted in writing. If they persist in phoning after you have sent that - explain to them that it is harrassment and that you are reporting them to the OFT (I think it's them) and Trading Standards.
Hopefully someone will know where the letter template is for you.

There are times they're allowed to ring, I think it's 8am - 9pm, so they're breaking that. I'd also send the letter requesting everything in writing. Or just refuse to answer their security questions and say 'I'm only prepared to deal with you in writing' and hang up.

I'm surprised they're hounding you when there is a DMP in place. It sounds like it might be self managed, rather than being through someone like CCCS - is that right? Would it be worth getting some professional advice from one of the charities, there could well be rules these people are breaking by continuing to harrass you, or steps you can take to stop them calling and communicate by letter only.

Rant all you want I say! The amount you've reduced your debt by in eight months is incredible and with your husband away, you're shouldering a lot of the responsibility. I think you should be extremely proud of yourself. In short, sod em!

Thanks to you all for your messages of support.....I have had a good cry and generally felt sorry for myself this morning after the phone call, and then to top it off Payplan were late in paying our creditors this month, and we've now got a statement from one of our credit cards with a £12...late fee charge.!!....I wouldn't mind but our Standing Order goes to Payplan on the 3rd of the month, and they didn't pay our creditors until the 18th??.

Does anyone else feel as if they are wishing their lives away....roll on 2011/12.
