Help please - Eltax DV-251 dvd player

Hi, I was wondering if any person could help me please. I bought the above dvd player about 8 weeks ago now from special reserve whom have now went bust.

My wife has been trying to get her american version of lost to work in it but not had any luck. I did try one of the discs in it before xmas just to make sure it worked ok as I bought them from ebay and it did play it then but not now?
There is a strange winding up noise from the player when I put the dvd into it. All it says is err disc?
with all 7 discs.
It is playing uk version dvds still and displaying pictures.
Can anyone give me any tips as to what/where I can do/go next?

There no hack here for you model but you could try some of the other eltax hacks and how they are same
