electronic cards

Can anyone recommend a site which explains how/allows you to make your own electronic cards?

I can only imagine they mean e-cards (the alternatives such as RFID cards, magnetic stripe cards, flash cards seem less likely). In which case if it is an e-card they mean then surely it's just a case of drawing/copying a picture, typing happy birthday etc and emailing it.

  • Yes, sorry, I meant electronic greetings cards. The free e-cards all seem to be ones you choose from a range that have already been designed - I want to use my own pictures.

Nothing to stop you just dropping a picture in a word document and then typing your message. An "e-card" is merely a concept not a specific file type or specification you have to stick to or need special softrware for etc. Use whatever software you've already got to design something and then just email it. The more sophisticated (animations, sounds, interactivity) it is the more sophisticated your skills and software needs to be. You're only limited by your resources, skill and imagination. What is it you actually want to send and is it to multiple people (in which case a simple mail merge could probably be done with your existing office software)?

It's not really any different to asking "how do you make a card?".
