Sammy Yes I did run my 10 miles in 1:40 with the last mile walking so up until mile 9 I was at average of under 10 min a mile so pleased with that! So cold now though and am thinking need porridge for brekkie
And I have lost another 1.5 this week :)

Well done! I did a marathon on 2004 and have barely run since (now 2 stone heavier :o). Bought a running jacket in Aldi today for £12.99 and I'm determined to get out and close my jelly belly!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • oh dear..........I've cut myself.......... _pale_

pulled a bowl out of the top cupboard and another one (a thick glass one) fell out. I instinctively put my arm and wrist down on the worktop to try to stop it but gravity won. I put my wrist bone down 'first' and erm, it was on the receiving end of a rather large piece of glass.

I don't think it needs stitching. It's quite small, but deep. I've got a piece of tissue taped on at the moment to try to get it to stop bleeding. Iused to have some of the stuff they use for butterfly stitches to pull the wound together but I can't find it.....it's right on the bone and it's bloody sore.

  • oh BB, that sounds scary! Poor you xxx

    Linda-HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Sally, well done on the weight front.

Lou, I shant be weighing myself today-as Aunt Flo is visiting, I know I will not have lost and will feel despondant so going to refrain if that's ok? I know I am losing inches as muffin top is considerably less this am.

    Snags-;)

  • well, I think I'm going to have a nice scar there. I've stopped it bleeding and put some savlon dry spray on and more plasters on top but the skin isn't 'together', it's a 'V' shaped cut I guess because it's right on top of the bone. I'll need to get hold of some blue plasters tomorrow to use on Tuesday night at class.

Apologies to those currently munching Sunday lunch.

BB, if the skin isnt together, should you maybe go to get it looked at? It might just need some butterfly stitches hun ;)

  • it probably does need a couple of butterflies spud, but all they do is use a kind of 'tape' that criss crosses over, (I think I must have used up all the stuff I was given at work when I was still at the hospital last time I had a deep cut!) every time I bend my wrist it re-opens it. It'll be fine, just another cookery related war wound to add to the list

£2.99  for a pack of blue plasters though tomorrow from Tesco - that'll teach me!
