I found this TV £10 cheaper at Laskys.com, plus 3% cashback via topcashback or comet has 4% cashback at comet...
Even more of a bonus as its free delivery from Laskys whereas Comet charge £19.950 -
I had seen the one at laskys but i thought it would be easier to return and contact if you buy it instore from comet as i have never heard of Laskys and have none anywhere near me. That is in case anything went wrong.0

Laskys is Comet's online store, so actually you will be getting it from Comet anyway.SteveStone wrote: »I found this TV £10 cheaper at Laskys.com, plus 3% cashback via topcashback or comet has 4% cashback at comet...

Well, i have learn't something new today. Thanks (will still by instore though, easier to plonk on the counter if anything goes wrong and not leave until sorted). Hopefully this won't happen. My last tv from them is great.Laskys is Comet's online store, so actually you will be getting it from Comet anyway.0 -
My husband has worked for Comet for many years and has never heard of Laskys being part of Comet.0

He is right, just found this on google;
Laskys:
"Laskys aims to supply premium brand Vision and Computing products at very competitive prices with unparallelled levels of service. We are part of one of Europe's largest electrical retail groups, but do not have the direct overheads of High Street stores.
Laskys offers premium branded audio visual products at low prices, through an extremely inviting and user friendly site.
Laskys is part of one of Europe’s largest electrical retail groups (Kesa Electricals, which also includes Comet PLC). Our huge buying power allows us to offer our customers the strongest deals in the market. Furthermore we take great pride in our unparallelled levels of customer service – just check out our Pricerunner and Kelkoo reviews.
We offer over 300 high quality products from all the major premium brand manufacturers such as Sony, Toshiba, Sharp, Philips, Samsung, Panasonic and Pioneer and many more, ensuring our range of audio visual products is second to none".0 -
This obviously bugged hubby and he just spoken to his manager and Laskys is a sister company of Comet but Comet won't match their prices as all refurbished goods are passed from Comet to Laskys to be sold on their website, so you might not actually get a brand new unit.
Either way, still a good deal for a plasma tv!0 -
Think they are different models - it's the 8B in Comet and the 80B in PC World.0

Hi, my first ever post!! We were looking at the offer in Comet today too. Looks good on the face of it at £599 but only come with 1 year guarantee. They sell 3 years for £179.99 which boosts up the price. Just been looking for a better deal and Argos are selling a 42” Panasonic for £639.98 Model no. 42PX80B + they have a special offer 2 which states “Free 3 year warranty leaflet posted within 7 days of product delivery when you buy this TV. Offer ends 16th January 2009”. So this would seem a better offer. Plus you can get 1.5% through Topcashback.
Saying that I’ve also e-mailed our local Panasonic dealer in Chesterfield to see if they can beat the Comet offer as some shops offer a free 5 year guarantee. If I’m spending that much money would want the reassurance if something goes wrong. Panasonic get a good write-up in the Which report so reckon this is the brand we would go for. If anyone spots a better deal please let me know!
