It wasn't a web exclusive. It was advertised on the site as a TV Deal.

Made mistake, reason it would have been pulled from tv is because it was at a £1,it would have meant them selling them all at a £1,was it a mistake or just a con to get new accounts and publicity??
  • well, thats the second time i have tried to buy from them with this happen.
    They can 'go away' now.

  • Yep agree with Member02 and i think it does matter "if" companies are using this kind of stunt for publicity etc. I for one will not be using them (I know thousands do!)

Meant to say thanks FloFlo for listing it anyway... it could have been great!

    That just seems so unfair!

I thought if you bought it at the "current" price and they said you'd been successful that would be it, it's not right that they can then decide they don't want to sell it. I bet if you bid and then decided you didn't want it they'd say tough and still take your money!

I notice now the page says "too late, this sale has finished", but I can't find it in the previous auctions section.

  • wow this is the first time bid tv have done this to me , i am really angry at this
  • Bit of a swiz. I still can't understand why you won't get the item, when you get a screen up telling you that you've won.
Thanks FloFlo though, would have been a great bargain.

You'd at least think they'd send an email or something saying the sale had been cancelled. On the original page it says "Sold Out" which isn't strictly true, it's not showing on the previous auctions page with a list of winners and if it had been sold out all those who used the "buy now" option and were successful would be receiving it.

It seems like the customer doesn't have many rights, if you buy something they can just decide not to sell it but if you buy something and change your mind it's tough you can't cancel your bid.

Very unfair and I know it's put me off ever using them again.
