Electoral Role

in Credit cards
Here is my dilemma.
I recently moved house and the past occupiers 'were' registered at MY address. I think they had bad credit thus stopping me from getting a card.
Today the electoral role is updated accross the country, and I am to be added to my address and the past occupiers removed.
I want to apply for a barclay card to buy a digi camera as to cover the price drop after xmas but I am afriad I will be turned down as the records of the electoral roal may have not been updated...
Any ideas?

Thom,
There have been recent changes to credit reports which mean that nobody else should show up on your report unless you have a financial link with them (e.g. mortgage, joint account).
You could always obtain a statutory copy of your credit report - £2 from Experian's website. There are 3 credit reference agencies; the others being Equifax and CallCredit.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)0 -
any ideas when this changed?
I was granted an EGG card with conditions being only a 1800 limit.
It has been 3 months since trying for more cards?0 -
