Why didn't you just ask! It's A&L Current Account .. I done a post elsewhere about there rip of charges.. I managed to get £50 back.. but I just don't want any more fee's where I could incurr more charges!!

Looks like rip off for me too. And even in T&C it is not absolutely clear whether they charge £5 p.m. for using or for having overdraft facility:

A fee will be charged for the usage of the overdraft. This fee will be calculated on a monthly basis irrespective of the amount of overdraft used or the duration of the overdraft. The overdraft fee will be debited to Your Account in arrears each month.

I'd interprete this as a fee for using overdraft ...

I think it is for using.. but I just don't want or need it!!! I'll guess I'll just have to case then!

In this case you don't gain anything by removing the overdraft, but risk being charged again for being overdrawn accidentally ...

but I get charged anyways.. trust me I know what's best for me.. and that's removing it!

Update.. phoned them up after going in branch and them telling me they couldn't do it (amazingly!) I now have nowt O/D!! The bloke no the phone was as bad as you lot... sure me might have been a MSE'er!!
