Dont know why Gas & Electric is costing me so much..want to switch..need really help!

Sorry I have re-checked my gas figure, estimated gas units per annum = 1248, so I calculate this to be circa 31666 kwh.

Npower have now advised our normal payments, for gas & electricity, would be £218 per month, but because of arrears have set our payment at £348.00 per month.

I don't know how you get 1248 gas units to equal 31,666 kWh

If you have an Imperial meter(cubic feet) that will be around 39,000 kWh

Witha metric meter(cubic metres) it will be around 14,000 kWh.

How did you work it out?

1224 gas units x 2.83 x 1.02264 x 39.269 / 3.6 = 38.640.

38.640 kWh, think thats right.:o

Just looking at another thread on the site regarding daily gas consuption. If we are using 106 kWh per day of gas that seems quite high usage. Nowbody is at home during the day and the heating only comes on at about 3.30 pm.
