Is there much demand for VBA programming, considering the most common requirements can be found by spending a few minutes searching the internet.0

I think there may be.
I am not an expert on this subject at all as I am only starting down this road but I did a little research and I noticed that there may be some demand for freelance Excel specialists. I personally have worked in offices full of accountants, auditors etc and I was personally asked to perform some tasks on Excel because nobody else really knew what they were doing, despite the fact that they we are all skilled on Excel and very good at their positions.
Conor - do you have any idea what the road ahead would look like for me if I intend on getting in the freelance web programming? What sort of qualifications and experience would I need before I could realistically start trading? The thing is that I am a very fast learner, so I do not think I would have any problems acquiring the skills or presenting them. However, one of the reasons I am looking to leave the career route is that I get very frustrated with the time it often takes to acheive. I always loved learning, but I have never been enamoured with school/Uni/degree concepts. I believe in aptitude honed by hard work."So, I've decided to take my work back underground... to stop it falling into the wrong hands..."0 -

MS have redesigned most of there certification with most of the first level now being product based, i.e. MSSQL 2005 and MSSQL 2008 are different qualifications, the idea is that someone cannot just do a exam and the eat out on it for the next 25 years as it will be out of date when the technology is.
As for doing the excel if you commit to creating at least one application is your first year for about £250 you can joint the microsoft ISV Empower program which will provide most of the software you require. This would put you on the road for various mirosoft partnership levels. Which would allow you to advertise yourself on the Mirosoft Partner WebsiteThe only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.

Thank you.
Can I ask... when you say creat at least one application for £250... does this mean creating a VBA and then selling it for at least £250? I am asking asI am still very new to all this...."So, I've decided to take my work back underground... to stop it falling into the wrong hands..."0 -
