Fax Machine

I am trying to set up my fax machine program that comes with xp, i cant seem to recieve faxes ....... i am on broadband is this a problem? also do i just use my normal phone number as my fax number?

    If you have a BT line for broadband, the fax modem (assuming you have one) needs to be plugged into the ADSL filter (the BT uk/phone connection, not the small US connector), and yes you will use your normal phone number.

    As I suggested on that other thread, the simplest set-up is - receive via fax-to-email number, otherwise you'll need the PC on to receive fax calls; then use the Windows Fax just for sending.

    I still haven't heard about the 0845 not receiving. 0560 receive numbers can be rung from 1899 for 3p.
