What about pots of gold - in a glass (some great piccys of them on here).

Everyone would like to win a load of money and she may end up giving them a lot more than she will pay for the scratchcards!

Or buy a box of 6 fairly nice crackers and put some make-up, or a scratch card, jewellry, hair stuff, or something jokey like a pair of knickers inside.

Otherwise I think a sock monkey is a great idea. Or something like a sock cupcake?

I think it is pointless trying to make something look expensive too so 'different' but not tacky is a better way to go.

When my son left primary school they all got photos of themselves which had been laminated, and everyone in the class had left a comment about the person. How about adapting this idea,getting each friend to write a comment about the other 4(all sworn to secrecy) and then laminating it and framing it in a nice frame with perhaps the girls name on. In years to come when they are all off in different directions,Uni,work etc it wil be a memorable gift.

Does it?,well I suppose you could try and do it yourself then if you were creative. It was just an example really,as I think it would actually be nicer withthe individual name on it. You could get a job lot from the market and ask an arty friend to stencil or paint the names on,then you could get whatever size you wanted and not be stuck with the smaller sizes which seem to be the personalised ones.

thanks for the great ideas we are gonna run with a idea ive had with the help of all the great suggestions , sort of a cross between the journal jar and the 3654 reasons why i love u in a jar thingy

she is gonna get a large glass jar or a nice christmas box and print out 365 memories or reasons why she likes that person

Good luck with that. I tried to make a '365 reasons why I love you' jar for OH, got to about 15 and couldn't think of any more so I gave up
